Step Into a Fairytale at London Hilton on Park Lane's Disney Princess Afternoon Tea

This week is World Princess Week and to celebrate, London Hilton on Park Lane unveils its Disney Princess Afternoon Tea, live from the 26th September.

Guests will enjoy a selection of carefully curated desserts and sandwiches inspired by the beloved Disney Princess stories and take a seat at the royal table where the wondrous experience will magically come to life.

The magical story begins at Park Corner Brasserie with the unveiling of the imaginary Royal Recipe Book, where each Princess has inspired the creation of a unique dish.

Guests will become honorary Princess Consultants and taste testers, sampling these delightful creations and casting their votes to help determine which recipes are the favourite.

Perfect for any Disney Princess fan, the afternoon tea features a whimsical selection of savoury sandwiches, each creatively moulded into symbols inspired by the iconic tales.

Highlights include a chicken and pumpkin sandwich shaped like Cinderella's pumpkin carriage and a candle-shaped smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich inspired by Disney's own candelabra Lumière from Beauty and the Beast, among many others. Following these savoury delights, guests will be treated to a New Orleans classic, beignets.

These deep-fried pastries, dusted generously with powdered sugar, are inspired by Tiana's dream of opening her own restaurant in The Princess and the Frog, where homemade beignets are a signature dish. Next, it's time to be left spellbound with decadent desserts from the “Heart of Te Fiti” , a white chocolate and matcha spiral with pink and white flowers, inspired by the central symbol from” Moana.

Guests will also enjoy “Under the Sea” , a shell-shaped macaroon with a white chocolate pearl and citrus ganache. Jean-Didier Gouges, Executive Head Chef at Park Corner Brasserie told That's Food and Drink: “Designing this menu in collaboration with Disney has been one of the most magical and imaginative projects of my career. We set out to do more than create sandwiches and cakes, we wanted to craft edible chapters inspired by Disney Princess tales.

Sam Leatherby, Head Pastry Chef at London Hilton on Park Lane added "Working on the Disney Princess Afternoon Tea has been like having a golden ticket to a world of imagination. Each dessert had to do more than taste delicious, it tells a story. ”

After indulging in this carefully curated selection, guests will use their Royal Vote Card to select their favourites

This immersive Disney Princess afternoon tea experience is the perfect activity to make magical memories with your family.

There is no dress code required but Disney princess outfits are, obviously, encouraged.

For those unable to make it to the afternoon tea, the new Disney Princess Let's Party website includes everything parents would need to throw their own Disney Princess Party and a wide range of content to inspire families.

Bunga Is Back! Full Reimagining of Iconic Bunga Bunga as a 1990s Fever Dream – Set to Launch in September

On 18th September, the Covent Garden venue formerly called Bunga Bunga will be reopening its doors as Bunga 90, an ambitious, immersive celebration of the 1990s.

Following a bold and extensive transformation, the Drury Lane venue has been reimagined as a multi-sensory playground, offering retro cocktails and draft beers whilst, of course, keeping Bunga's signature karaoke and pizza.

Welcome to the 90s!

Bunga 90 sets the tone from your very first glance, with its ground-floor façade styled as a nostalgic video rental store with a kaleidoscope of 90s references, from SEGA Megadrives and Super Nintendos to shelves lined with VHS tapes and CRT televisions looping iconic trailers from the era.

Guests can belt out karaoke favourites from cult 90s films before stepping through the infamous 'Adults Only' curtain, revealing a mysterious, long-forgotten time-travel movie, Bunga 90 within the PEPSI Time Machine.

The immersion is clear as memories of renting a film on a Friday night come flooding back, and the scent of popcorn fills the air. As the VCR behind the curtain inevitably malfunctions, the screen glitches and visitors are pulled into a whirlwind journey back to the decade that defined a generation

Back in time

On exiting the back of the video store guests emerge into a lovingly recreated 1990s Anglo-American family home with chintzy furniture, family holiday snaps and the unmistakable drone of dial-up noises setting the scene. Descending into the basement, visitors pass through a teenager's bedroom filled with fairy lights, teen idol posters, and Tammy Girl fashion before reaching the vibrant main bar, the beating heart of the venue. Here, a towering wall of old-school TVs plays a non-stop loop of 90s music videos, movie scenes, fashion TV and iconic adverts from back in the day.

Claw Cocktails, Arcade Madness & Toilet Raves

One of Bunga 90's show-stopping centrepieces is a giant, fully functioning arcade claw machine repurposed for cocktail creating.

Guests will take control via a joystick and assemble their own custom “Claw Cocktail”  made with Bombay Sapphire gin, Bacardi rum or Grey Goose vodka.

Elsewhere in the venue, guests will be able to try their hand at a rare Jurassic Park pinball machine, vintage arcade cabinets, and jumbo 90s handheld games.

And in a fun nod to a WrestleMania ladder match, there's a championship belt for guests to grab,  triggering dramatic ring-walk theme tunes from the eras biggest stars.

Every hour, the toilets transform into London's smallest 'M25 style' warehouse rave, created in partnership with Southern Comfort and Tequila Rose. Think UV lights, smoke bursts, glow sticks, and a blast of high octane 90s dance anthems.

Meanwhile, the toilet lobby plays host to karaoke performances, offering wannabe popstars the opportunity to serenade fellow guests as they fix their hair in the mirror.

Drinks:

The drinks list features reinvented 90s classics, think Cosmos, Watermelon Margaritas and Appletinis, all priced at £9.

A selection of cocktails will also be served in the shapes of 90s icons, from Will Smith or Britney Spears' heads or from a Nokia 3310, all priced at £13. The food menu stays true to Bunga's pizza roots but dials up the indulgence with fully loaded American-style creations.

Expect giant 20-inch pizzas perfect for sharing and a generous selection of dips, garlic twists, nachos, 'chicken in a basket' and other 90s bar snacks will also feature. Both the pizza menu, and a bar snacks menu, will be available all night at Bunga 90 to keep you fuelled up.

Experiences:

Karaoke remains absolutely central to the Bunga 90 experience. The venue features two private karaoke rooms and two open systems (in the video store and toilets).

But the star of the show is the central stage in the main bar, where brave guests can perform live in front of a 300-strong crowd.

With everything from Spice Girls to Aerosmith and Will Smith to one-hit wonders, the playlist is packed with nostalgia. The private karaoke rooms are available for up to 10 guests for 90-minute sessions, priced at £99.

Every Saturday, Bunga 90 will be holding a bottomless 90s brunch, with a live band providing a soundtrack of the decade.

Guests will receive bottomless cocktails or beer alongside a starter and a 20-inch pizza for every two people. Running weekly from 12pm until 4pm, the brunch will be priced at £45 per person.

On the launch of Bunga 90, Inception Group co-founder Charlie Gilkes told That's Food and Drink: “We are hugely excited to be launching Bunga 90. We opened the original Bunga Bunga back in 2011, and this is a complete reimagining of the brand, while still keeping the pizzas, karaoke, and sense of fun that people know and love. Bunga 90 is both a love letter to the 1990s and a bold new chapter.”

DabbaDrop is thrilled to announce their next menu collaboration with Kolamba, one of London's most beloved modern Sri Lankan restaurants.

Together, they've created a bold, comforting menu rooted in the island's rich home-cooking traditions - a celebration of depth, warmth and spice.

Available exclusively on the 4,5 & 6 June 2025, the Kolamba x DabbaDrop - A Sri Lankan Feast menu will include:

Ala Thel Dala (Fried New Potatoes with Caramelised Onion)

Golden potatoes tossed with curry leaves, mustard seed, cardamom and just the right heat from green chillies and red flecks. Smoky, savoury, and satisfyingly rich.

Jackfruit Curry

Young green jackfruit slow-cooked in coconut milk with curry leaves, cinnamon, mustard seed and a soft kiss of lime. Finished with crispy onions for crunch and depth.

Parippu (Tempered Dal)

A creamy red lentil dhal simmered with coconut milk, garlic, and turmeric, finished with a golden onion temper and a touch of warmth from whole chillies.

Cardamom Rice

Fragrant steamed rice infused with whole cardamom pods - light, aromatic, and the perfect base to soak up every last spoonful.

Toasted Pol Sambol

Especially for this menu, Toasted Pol Sambal will replace the usual Ginger Jam - a dark, toasted coconut relish with mustard seed, curry leaf, lime and black pepper which is smoky, nutty, and packed with umami.

"We're so really proud to partner with Kolamba to share these dishes with you. Recipes that speak of home kitchens, shared tables, and the kind of cooking that's passed down with care.

"Whether you're discovering Sri Lankan flavours for the first time or diving back into something familiar, we hope this menu brings joy, comfort, and a little fire to your week.'' Renée Williams, co-founder of DabbaDrop told That's Food and Drink.

"We're excited to partner with DabbaDrop, sending our Sri Lankan flavours further and wider than ever before. This limited-edition menu brings together dishes that speak to the heart of our culinary heritage (like Jackfruit Curry and Ala Thel Dala), so whether you've been eating Sri Lankan food for your whole life, or you're new to the cuisine, we hope you'll enjoy them." Eroshan Meewella, co-founder of Kolamba, added.

Founded by Hackney neighbours and busy mums, Anshu Ahuja and Renée Williams, DabbaDrop is a sustainable food delivery brand whose weekly changing menus take customers on a culinary journey across South Asia and beyond.

Each week they serve nutritious, hearty food in traditional - and reusable - tin ''dabbas'', all delivered by pushbike. As the UK's first zero waste and zero emissions food delivery company, DabbaDrop is pioneering a new - and better - way to takeaway.

Kolamba is the contemporary Sri Lankan restaurant group from founders Eroshan and Aushi Meewella. Kolamba - the locals' name for Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo - brings the rich and diverse flavours of Sri Lankan home cooking to the heart of London. The menu features authentic dishes inspired by traditional recipes, including flavourful curries, aromatic rice dishes, and freshly made roti, all designed for sharing. Kolamba has two locations: the original, on Kingly Street in London's Soho opened in 2019, and a second in London's Spitalfields, known as Kolamba East, opened in August 2024.

The Kolamba x DabbaDrop - A Sri Lankan Feast menu will be available on 4, 5 & 6 June 2025. Each DabbaDrop feeds two people and costs £30. Orders can be made via the website https://dabbadrop.co.uk/pages/menus-extras?srsltid=AfmBOoo87LnSxl80DrLG_IDWrxON_QYlFPkadTm8UueGvdGv2xxCGyIC

room to Redefining Cocktail Experiences

room two has established itself as London's premier cocktail events company, blending backgrounds in film, music, and interior design to reimagine what cocktails can be.

While the world of bars and cocktail culture continues to evolve, event drinks have often stayed in safer territory. room two is now changing that landscape.

Their mission is to blur the lines between bar, set, and experience, bringing cocktails back to the forefront of luxury events across the whole United Kingdom.

At its core, room two is about translating feelings into flavours. Whether it's a track that hits at 2am on a late-night dancefloor, the colour of a room at golden hour, or a film scene that lingers long after it ends, these moments are the starting point for every drink the team creates.

The company's distinctive approach integrates taste, texture, music, energy, and design, creating multi-sensory experiences that resonate deeply with guests.

The brand regularly releases short films to share its world, leaning into the surreal and the strange, "because that's where we think the best ideas tend to live."

"Having worked in luxury events for over 14 years, while also being a lifelong fan of late-night dancefloors, I saw a real opportunity to bring the intimacy, energy and togetherness found in those spaces into the world of luxury events," states Max McCormick, co-Founder of room two.

room two's methodology distinguishes them in the UK cocktail events industry. Recently, they were invited to Goa to design a series of drinks for a spirit not yet properly introduced to the UK market. room two was tasked with helping it break through, making it feel modern, drinkable, and relevant to a UK audience.

Their creative process is rooted in storytelling. Rather than leading with a spirit or ingredient, the team begins with a feeling, developing drink concepts around music, moodboards, moments and stories—establishing them as innovators in the British beverage experience sector.

room two has partnered with distinguished brands across fashion, beauty, and hospitality sectors. Their impressive client portfolio includes Prada, Huntsman, The American Embassy, Space NK, Singleton whisky, and Henry Holland Studio.

Actress Sienna Miller praised the company: "room two made the night truly special, every drink was like a little work of art." Huntsman (saville row) stated: "Quite possibly the best martini we've ever been served."

For a recent event with Space NK, room two created four bespoke cocktails inspired by the retailer's top-selling fragrances. The standout creation, "Rose Whip," featured a cherry and rose sour finished with a homemade leather-infused spray, designed to mirror the base notes of the featured perfume. The result was unusual, beautifully layered, and utterly delicious—showcasing their exceptional creativity in the UK cocktail scene.

room two regularly collaborates with acclaimed food stylist Kirthana on projects including a multi-sensory supper with Singleton whisky and Henry Holland Studio. These events blur the line between fashion, food, and drinks, designed for guests who crave experiences that feel unique from start to finish.

Music is a key ingredient in the room two process. Playlists are created to complement drinks. Soundtracks are built into supper clubs. Everything is mood-driven. The team's most immersive concept to date is "Dancing on the Bar," a pop-up that blends a high-fidelity listening lounge with a backgammon bar and cocktail menu. Guests sip room two drinks, eat bar snacks curated by guest chefs, and play games while listening to carefully selected records on an audiophile-grade sound system.

This season, room two is launching the first "Dancing on the Bar" pop-up in London. Think after-hours salon meets high-concept speakeasy. Part listening room, part cocktail lab, part intimate hangout. Designed for people who care about detail, from the drinks to the vinyl.

The team is currently inviting expressions of interest from aligned brands, venues, and collaborators interested in supporting or partnering on the launch.

Beyond pop-ups, room two runs a supper club series called "təˈɡeð.ər," with designer ‘Anissa Kermiche’ , a space where interesting people are brought together over food, drinks, and conversation, often in support of causes chosen by the host. Previous dinners have supported mental health initiatives, environmental causes, and LGBTQIA+ charities. Each one is co-curated, with every detail considered: from scent and lighting to the records playing in the background.

room two is committed to doing better for the planet, without shouting about it unnecessarily. Where possible, the team uses local and seasonal produce, often foraging ingredients. They work closely with East London distillers like 58 and Co, known for their thoughtful spirits, and have begun collaborating with catering teams to collect and reuse food waste, turning discarded fruit into garnishes, syrups, and shrubs.

It's not perfect, but it's part of a conscious and consistent effort to reduce waste and rethink what sustainable drinking could look like.

About room two: room two is a leading London-based cocktail events company specializing in creating immersive, multi-sensory drink experiences for luxury brands and high-profile events. Founded by industry veterans with backgrounds spanning film, music, and design, room two has established itself as a pioneer in innovative cocktail experiences throughout the United Kingdom.

La SPOT and its Brioche Creations are Coming to Fitzrovia

Opening in the vibrant and bustling food and drinks hub of Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, London, La SPOT is intent on infusing the best of French and Spanish cuisine into lunchtimes in the capital.

La SPOT is opening its doors on April 2nd, 2025 with free Brioche to the first 200 visitors.

Founded off the back of shared obsessions for brioche, tapas, and wine among the restaurant’s three founders, La SPOT is arriving in April 2025 to deliver a fresh range of small plate options that infuse Western European staples.

Positioning "brioche as the hero ingredient – simple, sexy, craveable," as a starting point, La SPOT attempts to pack strong flavours into indulgent tapas dishes that seek to appeal to the cravings of London’s workforce.

Nestled in Charlotte Street, at the gateway between Soho and Fitzrovia, La SPOT reinvents London’s working lunch with the same irresistible and irreverent pazzazz that fills the area.

La SPOT’s menu unites tastes of France and Spain for creations that can’t be found elsewhere in the capital. One example of this can be found in the restaurant’s flagship menu item, the Brioche Octopus Hot Dog, which is comprised of a slow-cooked octopus tentacle in onion marmalade with Makato cheese, potato julienne and hot paprika for a full-bodied flavour experience.

From the butter-adorned glory of soft hot dog buns to fluffy sandwich bread, La SPOT’s expansive range of brioche selections is designed to cater to the lunchtime cravings of millions of the capital’s workforce. The restaurant’s brioche menu items include:

OXTAIL AND CHEDDAR

Pulled oxtail with red wine sauce, cheddar, black pepper, and wild rocket

RED PRAWNS

Red prawns cooked with kimchi, fresh ginger, and crispy rice

VEGETARIAN/VEGAN

Sauted vegetables with garlic, green apple, tomato juice and goat (or vegan) cheese

OCTOPUS HOT DOG

Slow-cooked octopus leg in onion marmalade with Makato cheese, potato julianne and hot paprika

Featuring its own dedicated bar, Wine SPOT, the restaurant is also keen to establish itself as one of Fitzrovia’s primary venues for liquid lunches and afternoon tipples.

With opening hours ranging from 12pm until 10pm, La SPOT transforms from a competitively priced lunchtime location into a matinee haunt and evening tapas hub for city workers, locals, foodie tourists, and students alike throughout the day.

La SPOT’s mantra is “simple, but never boring”, and its founders have used this commitment to reinvent some classic dishes like loaded fries to encompass a more European twist.

With its Patatas Cheddar and Jamon dish, La SPOT’s commitment to action-packed simplicity sees the dish adorned with creamy cheddar sauce and fine-cut jamón to reimagine one of London’s most popular gastronomic sides orders.

La SPOT aims to make work lunches in the capital unforgettable, with interactions packed into every touchpoint, and shareable conversations on food packaging, napkins, and the restaurant’s menus in a bid to foster a more engaging and immersive dining experience.

Arriving in Charlotte Street in April, La SPOT intends to make lunchtimes in Fitzrovia more indulgent. By infusing French and Spanish stylings, the new restaurant will bring new perspectives to small plate concepts throughout the capital.
