Gaggia for great coffee

A coffee capsule brewing system that makes a perfect cup of espresso and cappuccino every time is now available on the high street.

The Caffitaly Capsule Espresso Brewing System created by Gaggia, offers the technology of Italy's leading machine expert, through Whittard of Chelsea's stores.

It is ideal for coffee lovers wanting an intense taste of genuine Italian espresso but who don't want the fuss of preparing freshly ground coffee.

The ultimate user-friendly capsule system has been designed to closely replicate the brewing process of a traditional espresso machine, ensuring original coffee aroma, flavour and taste.
It works by allowing the water to fully irrigate each tiny grain of coffee in the capsule, guaranteeing a constantly even flow of coffee and a consistently excellent brew.

There are six different disposable capsules to choose from - each one contains 8g of barrier-sealed freshly ground coffee.

Five of the capsules are from Ecaffe, Italy's leading coffee roaster, while the sixth capsule contains Whittard's top selling Santos & Java blend.
The five Ecaffe capsules are:
- Prezioso - pure Arabica with a balanced aroma
- Corposo - offers a strong, full bodied temperament
- Intenso - a perfect balance of South American blends
- Delicato (Decaffeinated) - velvety flavour and aromatic scent with less than 0.1% caffeine
- Cremoso Dark - specially ground for a long Americano filter coffee

Whittard's Santos & Java is a continental high roast with a smooth velvety rich flavour. The coffee also makes an ideal cappuccino because the dark colour takes the milk well without drowning the flavour.

Caffitaly Capsule System machines are on sale in Whittard's 135 stores nationwide from £99 for the K111 basic model (pictured) and £295 for a more stylish L'Amante model, available in a chic red finish.
